We had a great turnout at the at the Four Seasons wedding show. We managed to run out of our promotional pieces and lollies, and I met with lots brides-to-be and their mom's, soon-to-be-mother-in-laws, and a few guys who came with their finacees who felt a little out of place.. There was great food to be sampled-- my favs were the shrimp balls with plum sauce, and beggars purses with mushroom and apple from Barbara Llewellen catering. The sweets: mini samples of sexy cakes from Cicile Gady at Cakework, the espresso cupcakes from Sibby's cupcakery, and the chocolate martinis with a hersheys kiss on the bottom, courtesy of the Four Seasons (and yes, Four Seasons, we got the memo about no vendor partaking in any food or imbibing- we got to sample at the end of the show when vendors were packing up. ) There were great booths to admire besides our own. Floral designers Asiel Designs  partnered with Enhanced Lighting to create a cool white winter themed wedding reception.
The popular wedding dates this year? 8/30/08 (I didn't realize Labor Day weekend was early this year, which explains why I booked it 8 months ago), and 8-9-08, as it's close to 8-8-08 and has a nice ring to it.. 10-18-08 is also very popular (is that Columbus Day weekend?) I am booking up most of September, which is popular on both coasts. Should be a very busy fun year!
