Gosia & Todd on Cape Cod, 8.9.08

I got this wedding through a west coast connection- Suzy Clement, a great San Francisco wedding photographer.

Suzy didn't want to fly out for this one, so she referred me. Thank you Suzy! There was another west coast connection- Paul Korver and his wife Kristine from Fifty Foot Films came from LA and filmed for several days (and when I say film , they use real film, not video, and their work is really romantic and very retro.) Their ceremony was a Catholic mass, and many members of Gosia's family came from Poland for the wedding. The Ceremony was half in English and Polish, and one of the priests played some songs on his guitar in Polish during the service. After the service we all crawled into the limos and had a beachy fun time at the Chatham Bars Inn for their reception. Chatham, Massachusetts is the quintessential cute and quaint Cape Cod town, and in my mind is what summer is all about . It rained a little during the day, but the sun peaked out of the clouds right at sunset when we did their portraits on the beach. Thank you, Mr. Sun!
It's been very rainy in New England, but I've missed rain so much since California has seen so little of it, which is why it seems to keep spontaneously combusting.. My next wedding will be in Livermore, CA and won't have a rain threat, just fire and heat.
