I flew out for the week for Chung-I (Jennifer, her American name) and John's wedding at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, California. There was a heat wave in the bay area that week, and on Thursday Livermore reached 107 degrees.. I was getting nervous that we would all melt as both the ceremony and reception were outdoors. The heat wave subsided and Livermore was (to my shock) very pleasant and of course, no rain (this was my first wedding that everything was held outside, and it was great to be outdoors under the stars in the cool evening. East coast brides would never do anything that risky with our weather and mosquito population.)
Jennifer wore a gorgeous Vera Wang gown that showed off her decollete (a classy french word for cleavage) very nicely. Jennifer and John had a traditional wedding ceremony on the lawn, and then changed into Korean wedding garments (Hanbok) and did a Korean tea ceremony with their family as friends gathered around to observe. Everyone danced under the stars in the breezy and cool night air. Congratulations J&J!
