Cassandra & Brian's Big, Skinny, Non-Fat Greek Wedding, 9.13.08

Cassandra and Brian's  wedding was held in Boston at the Greek Orthodox Annunciation Cathedral,

They held their reception with over 200 guests at the Taj Boston (formerly the Ritz Carlton), an old-school Boston landmark around for 100 years or so. Cassandra's dress looked like a princess designed by Kenneth Pool. Her make up was flawless, done by Best of Boston winner Katrina Hess, and her classic updo by Daryl Christopher. The bridesmaids dresses from Vera Wang almost looked black but were very sophisticated in 'fig' color (a dark, smoky purple.) The grand ballroom had a wonderful autumn theme; a dark chocolate cake with orange motif provided by Party Favors of Brookline, and oranges and yellow flowers with lots of bare branches representing fall by florist Dana Markos. They had both a Greek band (Enosis) as they guests threw dollars and danced in a circle, as well as an American band (Men In Black) that rocked the house as they always do. Wedding planner Alexis Eliopolos O'Mara (Unique Weddings By Alexis, who has a perfect Greek-Irish name) pulled off the event flawlessly.
